Modified MURPH

DiCCS given and off we go

Warm Up and Stretch:

Short quick mosey to east side lot.
Circle up
10 SSH, 10 Imperial Walkers, 10 Merkins, Calf Stretch, Runners pose – right foot, right hand, left foot left hand, Hamstring stretch (Jimmy Dugan)
Long mosey up the road out the back of the school with a few burpee and flutter stops, looped around on the main road and back down to the bus lot on the west side of school.

The Thang:
Mini/Modified MURPH!
Regular MURPH is 1 mile, 100 pull ups, 200 merkins, 300 squats, 1 mile run (all be it with a 20lb weighted vest…)

We ran 0.5 mile to start, and then ended up at 2.9 miles total in the end

You had a partner throughout to break up each of the main exercises – one runs the length of the parking lot while one works on his reps 

To start, we didn’t have pull up bars, so we modified and grabbed a rock and did 50 bent over rows, and 50 curls (back and biceps covered)

Then we did perform the 200 merkins and 300 squats
The 200 merkins reminded me of IPC workouts – very tough

In the end, we finished in time with just a bit extra to do some more burpees and flutters at COT before ‘have a nice day’

Great work by all PAX, with everyone pushing their limits.  As promised, the cold didn’t stick around long!
Also, we had an Area 51 visitor for the passport challenge – Abba.  Way to lead the pack and fit right in.
