Smörgåsbord

Contrary to what the pax may believe I did NOT make this weinke up on the fly (other than the audible because the Impromptu pax were hogging the stairs). I couldn’t decide on a “theme” so instead decided on a little bit of everything.

Warmup

None. Sorry Blue Screen.

The Thang

Mosey around the front of the school, hang a left towards the buses and then a right towards the stairs. Run up the stairs and back down then do a Triple Double Bomb Jack Burpee, which is basically a regular burpee but with 3 Merkins at the bottom and 2 Bomb Jacks at the top. That equals 1 TDBJB. Repeato the stairs and TDBJBs 5 times

Mosey up the ramp to the benches at Geeb Jungle and partner up.

Partner 1 does the exercises: 100 Derkins, 100 Step-Ups, and 100 Dips

Partner 2 runs lap around Geeb Jungle. Swap. Repeato. You get it.

Another mosey to the high school parking lot for a Starfish. I asked the question “is it an audible if I haven’t told you what we were gonna do but I changed it in my head?” Doc said it wasn’t. We were gonna be doing 4 Corners but I wanted to subject everyone to the TDBJBs some more so I swapped it to a Starfish

Round 1:

  • 1 Triple Double Bomb Jack Burpee in the middle
  • 10 Merkins
  • 10 Wide Arm Merkins
  • 10 Diamond Merkins 
  • 10 T Merkins

Round 2:

  • 1 Triple Double Bomb Jack Burpee in the middle
  • 10 In and Outs
  • 10 Plank Jacks
  • 10 Mountain Climbers (2=1)
  • 10 Peter Parkers (2=1)

Mosey back towards the stairs but those sneaky pax from Impromptu were already there so we were forced to audible (for real this time) and head towards the traffic circle instead. I closed the gates across the road and these made for a good place to do Supines and at the other end we did Big Bois. Very quickly we learned the toughest thing about the Supines was the laying down and standing back up. We also learned quickly that the hill from the circle back up to the get is much steeper than we remembered.

Finishing those we headed to the stairs now that Impromptu was gone so we could continue on with my plan of 7s on the stairs. Donkey Kicks at the top and Mike Tysons at the bottom. We all needed a little breather so we finished up with 10 LBCs IC and 10 Pistol LBCs (each leg) in cadence

Another mosey to the rock pile near Rudy’s Poopy Palace for a little more partner work with a new partner this time. One rock per team. Partner 1 runs for 15 seconds up the hill and then heads back. Partner 2 does the exercise and then trade. We did Curls, Shoulder Presses, Tricep Extensions, and Bent Over Rows.

A few minutes left and as we’re moseying up the hill towards COT Sugar Daddy goes flying past all of us and reminds us we didn’t get up early to be mediocre. So now we’re all sprinting up the stupid hill and Blue Screen is determined to beat us all. The man’s got wheels guys.

A minute less and we finished out with a few more Big Bois.
