Insanity at the Asylum

If you checked the website and thought you were getting a different Q, you’ll have to give Bypass and Flanders (Site Qs for the Asylum) a break. Originally it was supposed to be Fuse Box. Then Landfill wanted it but hurt himself by being old. So it fell to me to abuse the pax with stupid ideas.

WARMUP:
Mosey to the little parking lot next to Target and do a bunch of SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Moroccan Night Clubs, Mtn Climbers, Plank Jacks, Merkins, and even some stretches. Many pax thought this was the warmup for the workout but it was really the warmup for Ice9 running his mouth. We also did around 10 burpees OYO. Sets of 5 at a time because that’s all Ice9 is willing to do in one go.

THE THANG:
Now we mosey across Waxhaw-Indian Trail behind the Harris Teeter to the grassy hill. Do another 5 burpees OYO and then 7s on the hill with Squats at the top and Merkins at the bottom. 5 more burpees OYO and then repeato.

Another mosey all the way across the HT parking lot to the giant rock pile for some partner work. One rock per team with 100 each of Curls, Tricep Extensions, Shoulder Presses, and Bent Over Rows, taking turns running a long lap around the parking lot islands. There were likely a few rounds of burpees OYO in here as well.

Next the plan was to cross Weddington Road to the new Food Lion but traffic was worse than anticipated so I called an audible and we took a long mosey all the way back to the small parking lot we did the warmup in.

Chastain is a Jackass is both an exercise and a statement of fact. 10 Donkey Kicks with a 10 second feet-on-the-wall hold and working your way down 9, 8, 7, etc. until you get to 1 DK with a 1 second hold. More burpees OYO.

Another mosey to COT where we picked up the injured Landfill and his trusty steed Stag for another round of burpees OYO and then finished out with partner work of Step-Ups and running down to Brooklyn Pizza and back. One last round of 6 burpees this time brought the total to 51 burpees.
