What had happened was: Mountain creek trails closed about 15 minutes before we arrived due to some rain last night. Plan B was determined on the fly and decided to ride at the whitewater center. Stretcher led the pack through north main, tower 93, slalom and south main. Our bikes were slipping and sliding all over and cable guy managed to do a 180 as he was taking a turn at Mach speed and hit a patch of Carolina mudd. However he managed to stay upright. Buffet’s daughter joined us and was a trooper until she thought we were nuts to be riding in this conditions. We all followed our fearless leader Stretcher on Goat hill climb that kicked our butts. We made it half way at best and walked the rest of the way. Most of us took air of our tires and at times were spinning our wheels with no traction. By the end, our bikes felt like 10 lbs heavier
Lesson learned: riding muddy trails sucks and the bikes take a heck of time to clean.
Be safe and until next ride :man-mountain-biking: :man-mountain-biking:
