What had happened was: God answered Paul’s prayer to visit Rome but not how anyone would have expected. God is more visible than we give Him credit. We’re not ashamed of the gospel (good news ) but are pretty dang sinful. There are 22 sins described in verse 1 and Gods wrath is deserved. Do we have a way out?!?! That’s to be discussed in the weeks to come. I will say this – spoiler alert!!! – in Christ there is NO condemnation and NO separation. Period! That’s got to be the ultimate comfort.
