Cliff notes: Another trip to recce Terror Trails, to see the progress of those power lines and the state of the leaves, just two weeks after the previous. It’s funny how it works: we met at the same spot as before, at the same time. We arrived at the Blind Orange Cat and started our Garmin at exactly the same time. But when we arrived at the dam photo-op spot, there was no glimpse of the sunset. Did we run too fast? Nah.
Anyway, other than that, the usual: bunch of deer, bunch of bright eyes spooking the heck out of the group, and unlike our previous trips, zero spider webs. Most of the trails are in superb condition, regardless of rocks and roots; the only tricky ones are those covered in leaves, but to be honest, it’s not that big of a deal: no blessing the trails with our blood, no rolling ankles, no busting our faces against trees.
Terror Trails is going to be epic again. See you all there next week!
