What had happened was:

Got there about a half hour early to prerun. There is a nice 3.5 mile loop around a golf course so ran that. Enjoyable loop with quite a few other walkers and runners out there pretty early. I guess when you post in a DC commuter neighborhood that’s what happens.

Got back to COT about 5:25am to chat with other pax and to be ready to roll at 5:30am sharp.

Pax start coming out of their cars and coming in about 5:28am. At 5:30am I look down at my watch and said, who’s Qing? “Not sure where Rocket is” followed by another pax saying “he just texted and he’s coming in hot”

5:33am comes and the Q drives up in a very “un-hot” fashion and proceeds to unpack his coupon and some farmer carry supplies in a very nonchalant manner.

5:36am disclaimer is given followed by about 6 minutes of stretches (arm circles, grass pickers, side stretching)

5:42am instructions are given on the first activity. Together, pax will do a burpee, then drop into a bear pose, followed by a merkin, back to bear, then jump up and tap both knees, then back to bear, then hold bear. This instruction had so many steps Damascus’s head would have imploded. When everyone was back to bear we would run a lap around the parking lot which was the size of a neighborhood swimming pool. We did that about 5 times.

Next exercise was to hold a 6 inch plank while everyone took one turn farmer carrying 100lbs around the parking lot. Most pax lasted about a half a lap of thr first pax and it was mostly have a nice day tummy version the rest of the time. A few pax rotated between 6 inch plank, high plank, and elbow plank.

After that things really started to heat up. The 7 pax got in a circle ⭕️ with their cinderblocks. One pax would do a blockee then turn to the pax on the left for a high stakes game of rock/paper/scissors. If the person who just did the blockee won they were done, if they lost they had to do a blockee with the next person (so they did two :tada: ). This went around for about 6 or 7 rounds until my heart rate was so low I was worried my garmin would think I was taking a nap.

We did end the workout on blockees in cadence and did about 20 which was good for those that did them.

6:14am. Since the workout was so difficult we ended early to be safe.

That being said, the F3 Annapolis guys have always been super nice and welcoming. Good or bad we have sent a certain standard in Waxhaw that I find hard to replicate in other regions when I post. I will still continue to post down range but did ask to see if there are any openings left this week so I may grab a Q here locally :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
