What had happened was, Week 2: Vision in the Dark.

Mission: Read Habakkuk 2:1-3. Ride into the darkness. Try not to get lost. Return safely. Secure the Watch.

The Word: Habakkuk 2:1-3 — “I will stand at my watch…”

The theme: was VISION IN THE DARK. And apparently, the Lord decided we needed some hands-on application.

The Workout: We headed out into the gloom with Carb Load, Cartel, and YHC at the helm, trusting our headlamps, our questionable sense of direction, and the fact that somebody probably knew where we were going.

Spoiler alert: somebody did not. On the way back to COT, we got quasi lost and stumbled our way through the darkness trying to find our way home. In a beautiful demonstration of biblical accuracy, we did not exactly have a clear vision.

We also hooched it by about five minutes, because apparently “6:16 COT” is more of a general suggestion when you’re navigating through the gloom.

But just like Habakkuk, we kept watch, kept moving, and eventually found our way back.

The Watch was secured.
All personnel accounted for.
Nobody was left wandering in the darkness.
Mission accomplished.

Maybe the lesson wasn’t about always knowing exactly where you’re going.

Maybe it’s about trusting God enough to keep moving when you can’t see the whole path.

The Watch is Secured.
