What had happened was:
As I turned the corner, by the stadium, I glanced to the right and I see a tall lanky man sort of meandering through the parking lot. He doesnt see me but I see him, there is no rhyme or reason to the path he was taking, I quickly dim my headlamp as not to bring attention to myself. I stay to the outside, eventually making it all the way around the outer loop down to transporter’ shed up the hill to the roundabout. As I reach the roundabout I see a familiar face walking towards me with a grin that we all know and love… it is none other than the mighty Gerber with his ruck sack tightly fastened to his slight frame. Casual smalltalk ensues after we greet one another. We join forces in our weighted saunter through Cutty. I casually mention that there was a strange man lurking through the parking lot sort of wandering to and fro. Out fast friend stops me, smiles, and begins to show me his Strava art, depicting the great US of A. we laughed as we joined in our walk back to COT, just a wee bit late mind you, but it was all worth it indeed as it was quite a story to tell.
