The big winners of the day were Drive By, who set a post-Diabetes PR, Blue Screen of DEATH, who ran considerably faster than he expected, Shania, who finished first overall, and Kilo, who ran the fastest time when handicapping everyone for weight (I spent all day crunching the numbers). Personally I didn’t have my best performance but the plan did help me get back into the routine of running intervals and posting at Express which is huge.
Thanks to everyone who came out to train at some point during the 8 weeks. And kudos to those of you that came out to run today. Running an honest mile is tortuous and takes a lot of guts. Shania and I both wanted to quit halfway through, but we didn’t because we held ourselves accountable to the group. The group makes it happen. Whether you know it or not you are making a difference for other guys just by showing up.
