As I look back at the dominos that pushed a thought into an action, honestly it all happened so fast. I’m so thankful to all that donated money and time spreading the word about our collection. Special shout out to @Deflated who was able to secure just about $1,000 from his friends and family!
My major shout outs go to those men that gave a bunch of time and effort into the cause.
Thanks to Black Hat and his 2.0s for driving to Asheville with us. He reached out sharing that he wanted to join in and I knew that the remaining money was going towards tampons, maxi pads and wipes. He obliged and I’m so appreciative.
Thanks to Chastain who said “let me know if you need my help” and quickly turned to “can you meet me in 20mins at Harris Teeter to take a pallet of water in your truck?” Our Nantan is always one to lend a helping hand and I’m thankful for his leadership.
Blue Screen instantly offered his help when I started this idea and jumped in to track down pallets of whatever we could get our hands on. And oh boy did he come through! 5 pallets at our very own Target were secured by him and his muscles were needed for the big unload. Thanks for jumping right in BS!
Lastly, my simple ask to Uhaul started as a quasi-joke like, “do we think we will have enough money to even fill a whole truck?” Quickly spawned into the need for 2 x 26’ trucks and he even trusted me to drive one of them! We talked dozens of times, hundreds of texts and no way I could have pulled this off without his help. Thank you brother!
My M and 2.0s aren’t in here but I’m so thankful for them jumping in with me. They never say no, they are always ready to help and we love talking about how we felt afterwards as a family.
In closing, during COT on Saturday Uhaul shared how appreciative he was for the men of F3 and the impact he has felt in his first 90 days. Not even realizing the positive impact he’s already making on our region just showing up and throwing himself in. Bravo sir.
Hatchet sent me a kind message today and he ended with “Sometimes, we need the group. Sometimes, the group needs us.” Great food for thought. F3 has immeasurably changed my life in the most profound ways. All I can do is continue to pay it forward and hope more men find us.
The final tally raised as of this moment is: $12,587! Well done everyone!
