To continue with the Christmas Theme we did 20 nut crackers aka plank jacks in cadence.
10 more wide arm merkins.
THE THANG:
Round 1.
Timer is hair burners for 30 yards. 8 stations that consisted of all chest work with weights ranging from 45 pounds to 20 pounds. Majority chest presses with some fly’s in there.
Circle up to recover and ask pax if they have had enough chest. Of course Ice 9 screams no so we do 15 Merkins.
Round 2.
Timer is a backwards hose pull around the parking lot. Stations were a mix of bicep, tricep, and shoulder exercises using same weights.
Circle up and ask if the pax have had enough chest. This time Pyro says no. Ok…down for 5 ranger merkins, 5 wide arm merkins, 5 ranger merkins, 5 wide arm merkins.
Round 3.
Asymmetrical Farmers Carry 30 yards out and back. Weights were 50 lb dumbell and 35 lb keddle.
Same Stations as round 2.
Circle up. Enough Chest? Someone says no (damn it – I’ve got to quit asking that question). 5 merkins into a downward dog. Repeat 3 times.
Grab hose and hair burner plate and get them put up. Rest of pax do lunge walk if you don’t have equipment to carry back.
Walking overhead T clamps back to the parking lot.
Circle up and ask the pax if they know what this weeks newsletter workout exercise is this week. Everyone fails, so we do 20 of said exercise – Ralphies.
One last time – enough chest? No? Ok…20 Merkins.
Everyone grab gear and load it back in my car.
20 seconds left. Burpees until 7:15.
MOLESKIN:
– Its no secret that I love holiday hours so thanks to Rockslide for obliging today. Also a big thanks for beating me there (I arrived 30 minutes early so what time did you get there???) to grab the hose and hair burner plate.
– Shout out to Cutlet who would not let the hose get the best of him today. After struggling the first time with it, he picked it up at the end and made the entire lap around. Great push. I think that makes 3 workouts this week for our newest FNG.
– Thanks to Munchkin for allowing me to pop his gear cherry today. He was trash talking my hose pulling skills but quickly saw how much it burned the legs.
– Cliffhanger also a rare gear guy there today as well. My workout was able to assist him in coughing up half a lung.
– It was great to see Ice 9 out. Even with a bum hip he still pushes hard and made us all look pathetic on the hose pull. Pyro goes “So YOUR’RE Ice 9?!!!” It was like a kid meeting Santa for the first time.
– Pyro dropping his photo skills with what I think was today’s best family photo (take that Chastain). Roomba may have yelled at him to put the camera down and start lifting (Get ’em Roomba!) ha.
– McGruff with some helpful advice in COT where we opened up COT to share things both good and bad before announcements.
