What had happened was: YHC realized that many first times have been with Bratwurst and this is no exception — original VQ was at Dromedary under the tutelage of Bratwurst many years ago; later on, a 3rd F lead at Timekeeper; then Brat got brave enough to ask YHC to Q a month at Swift, pure running; and now the VQ at a broga workout.

After all this and several years of leading (questionable, at best) boot camps, YHC was pretty nervous about yoga. The first thought was music and then scratching together a weinke based on various YouTube videos. The soundtrack always comes before the plot, right? Form before function? Enya it would be!

The plot was built around helping YHC with his ailing back, so there was lots of rock and roll and torso rotations. Then YHC threw in some strength with merkins (to which Paper Jam scoffed and wondered what has become of his beloved broga workout since it continued through winter). The most impressive part, though, was the grace and strength Rooster exhibited when YHC called a modified crow pose. Of course, Rooster rocks the Crow!

The soundtrack led to great conversation, better than expected. Brat is quite knowledgeable of the Enya discography, though PJ is more of a Barry White guy when it comes to mood music. YHC did bring up some Barry during COT so we could all get a little more intimate and there were definitely some fans among the PAX.

YHC appreciated the support for the AO VQ, with Jitterbug venturing away from Cuthbertson road, PJ coming back out post-Oak Island and the continued support of both Brat and Rooster.

After all this, prep helps but don’t be afraid to try something new. If you haven’t been to Goo/Gumby/Pokey before, head out once and your body will thank you, especially if you’re partying hard the other days of the week. You can even add some strength moves in and only PJ will complain, but throw on some Barry and he won’t be able to get enough of your love, babe.
