Attendance: Black Hat, Chatterbox, Kid Rock, Chastain
For my first SLT meeting as Nant’an we had a list of topics to talk about, perhaps none more important than agenda item #8, “What to do with Chastain”.
But starting at the top with a key business item.
F3 Waxhaw is now a 501c3 organization!
Chastain is finishing up a few bank related activities to finalize accounts and transfers, but this should go a long way for future fundraising activities as this provides more than a bit of credibility but also provides some extra incentive for donations as well. Thank you Chastain.
Kid Rock will be putting the 2026 1F events calendar together. We will be starting to leverage the Events page (not just for 1F events) on f3waxhaw.com so that everyone can have an easy reference throughout the year or at least have something additional to make fun of a Pax who inevitably asks when the next convergence is.
As we are heading into the next year I’d like to take a moment to share what I’m going to be putting my energy towards for our region.
As we head into the next year, my focus is on strengthening leadership within our ranks and increasing our visibility in the community.
Freed to Lead – Let’s Step Up Together
My goal this year is simple — to encourage and equip more Pax to step into leadership across our Region.
Whether that means leading your first workout (VQ), getting into a regular Q rhythm, stepping up as a Site Q, or joining the SLT, there are plenty of ways to put leadership into practice.
SLT Opportunities
We’re looking for a few more Pax to join the SLT and help support the Region. If you’re interested in serving and growing as a leader, reach out — we’d love to have you involved.
Q & Site Q Opportunities
With 29 AOs across our Region, there are countless chances to lead. Taking that first step can be intimidating, but remember: F3’s mission is “to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.”
Introducing IronWorks (Q Source AO)
To help sharpen our leadership skills, we’re launching IronWorks, a bi-weekly Q Source AO meeting on Saturday nights at 8PM. Q Source is essentially F3’s leadership framework — principles we can apply at home, at work, and in our communities.
I recently completed GTE-59 with some of our Region’s Pax and got to experience Q Source in action. It was powerful, and I want others to experience that same spark.
Big thanks to Chastain and Dunkin, who will help lead IronWorks. They’ve both been through Q Source multiple times and bring valuable insight and experience.
You are freed to lead, and I want to help you become the leader you’re meant to be. Let’s get after it together.
Be Visible – Let’s Show Up in Our Communities
The second focus this year is visibility. We’re a strong, vibrant group — but there are still plenty of men in our communities who haven’t found us yet. Let’s change that.
While Christ’s Closet is an awesome way to serve, it mainly supports those outside our region. Let’s look for more ways to make an impact right here at home — whether that’s through charity projects, community events, social gatherings, township activities, or even something fun like a chili cookoff.
We already do a lot of great work, but let’s make it more visible as F3 Waxhaw.
We’re looking into getting a custom pop-up tent with our logo and adding a section on our website to highlight past and upcoming service projects. By showing the good we’ve done, we can build trust with donors and inspire more people to reach out when help is needed — just like we did last year with hurricane relief.
If you see an opportunity to serve, don’t wait — take the lead and invite a few Pax to join you.
F3 has changed our lives. Let’s keep paying it forward and make a difference in the lives of others.
Terror Trails is a week away!!
Kid Rock could greatly use volunteer help during the event but also in completing setup. With his work and personnel schedule as it currently is, he is planning on starting final prep late on Halloween night and working till the following morning. Let’s not let this HIM work solo!
Kid Rock is working with Middle James Brewing in downtown Waxhaw to host a charity Karaoke night to benefit Levine Children’s Hospital. A great example of being public in the community, especially now that we are a 501c3. Stay tuned for more details as this is coming very soon.
Mad Dog has booked us the Lawson clubhouse for December 13th. We are looking for a few Pax to help organize and lead this holiday celebration.
the following day, December 14th, is the Waxhaw Christmas Parade. We’d like to gauge interest in participation if we were to register an entry.
Join the christmas2025 channel if interested in being a part of either Christmas activities
