1 Rucker (Chainsaw) and 3 bootcamper’s had way to much to do on a Saturday than to spend half a day running through the mud, so we joined up early to knock our a standard Saturday morning bootcamp. Rockwell’s Friday bootcamp was so impeccable, that I decided to imitate it. Loop around campus, stopping along they way for a mix of partner work, grinders, and cadence exercises. Launching from a new location is always tough (where to we launch from). At 6:30 there was no Hatchet. I decided to start with a progressive warm up along the yellow brick road in hopes he would catch up. Spoiler, he never did. I found Uhaul post workout who was apparently planning to workout with us but never found us. (In my best Alicia Silverstone immatation from Clueless “Oops, my bad!”)

But enough about the workout, because as Scarlett Johansson said in Gone with the Wind “Frankly my dear, we don’t give a damn” (Yes I intentionally flubbed every bit of that).

So lets get to the miracle. During the grinder we were trying to knock out 200 merkins as a group (as well as 600 LBC”s on the other end). I pass off 55 merkins to Das and return later to Falcon who tells me the number is 234….um, do what? I ask again and he repeats again 234. As we recover I call out to the group that a Miracle has happened. Over about a 2 minute period, Das and Falcon combined for 179 merkins. Das quickly jumped in that he passed 94 merkins over to Falcon. Now some will say Falcon was just a little woozy from fasting and perhaps he got the numbers wrong. Others maybe a bit more sinister would say that’s just how Titan pax operate. But I like to think a miracle happened today at WTF Commitment. Today was the day that a single pax, knocked out 140 merkins solo in a mere 90 seconds. Just absolutely amazing Falcon. If you see him this week, make sure you congratulate him on such an outstanding achievement.

The rest of the workout was pretty much status quo other than when I asked Falcon to sit on the bench to try something new he looked at me like I had three heads. The something new was partner dead lifts and I would rate it a 6 out of 10. I would try it again but it didn’t have quick the burn I was hoping for (perhaps we should have done more than 5???).

Back to COT just in time. Thanks to the pax that joined. Thanks for the fellowship of the WTF pax for what little bit of time I could stay.

Enjoy your Saturday, I’m off to a two day baseball tournament.
