What had happened was: We braved the thick humidity, heat, light rain and even a pack of angry bees along 12 Mile Creek. Stretcher lead the first group through the cobwebs on Lenny Hill. Rag lead group 2 around the point then off to Cutty. Apparently the front riders in group 1 kicked up a swarm of bees and mostly everyone trailing in the group got stung. Sorry from the front! Luckily we had an FNG who is a professional beekeeper to keep us safe. Later we appropriately named FNG Eric, “Stinger”. We scrambled up the Snake, blurred down The Green Mile, and hit the kickers on PoCo before scaling the log roll on the way up to descend all the features on Cutty 4 on our way back. Luckily, Stinger escaped the log roll troll with all toes intact after a ballet with his spokes. Buffet left us early so we missed him at the post ride rainy tailgate party. He confirmed he was well. Another great ride and fun evening. Much gratitude to Rag for the trail work this week :pray:
