Cliff notes: Another example of a superb-organized event. Great location, tough challenge, thoughtful charity, and an effective team putting it all together—Orange Whip and Bratwurst being the public face of the squad that made this all possible.
Paper Trail, Chicken Run, and at least another AO (I missed the name!) converged with the rest of Area 51 to run a bunch of steep hills on an amazingly cool summer morning. About 60 HIM who were coached to say “we are a runing group”, should someone had questioned what we were doing.
A few other trail nuts, led by Paper Jam, took another trip up to Crowder’s for up to 3 hours of bliss in the mountains. More are coming, in case you are interested!
And at the end, we all broke bread together at some location. Among the conversations, the one about how a girl in the area of Blue Ridge affected by the hurricanes will soon have a house, her own room, new furniture and a peace of mind that no children should lack, even in the aftermath of horrible natural disaster.
