What had happened was: Another fantastic episode of F3. Rag gave a detailed trail conditions alert earlier in the day so that we could have a great ride planned. It was so good to see Stickers out there; for the past few weeks his demanding ‘boss’ has been keeping him at work late. Another special call out to Cartel, it’s always a pleasure to get to shred a trail with him. All of us have had bosses like that except that in this case Stickers is the boss. We broke up into two groups – the slow group and the slower group. Rag’s trail report showed that the river crossing to Lenny was sketchy due to heavy weekend rains. I made the lapse of judgement of just going for it, and it was one of those situations where once you have gone down that path – you have gone down it! I ended up with a flat early on, which is just one of those realities of mountain biking, and had to get back to COT early. Overall everyone reported they had a great time, and they appreciated the opportunity to work on their heat endurance. At COT nobody reported any incidences of OTB at this weeks OTC. Statistically we have observed recently many more camp chairs being brought to the OTC afterparty, so be sure to add that to your checklist along with your bike, helmet, and bike shoes or flip flops.
