God teaches that suffering produces character. I know this to be true. It is one of the reasons the men of F3 are so effective in response to suffering — whether their own or another person’s. Every morning, early, rain or shine, we practice. We sacrifice comfort and choose discipline. So we get stronger. We persevere. Our character grows. And with that our hope.
The men at Ruck-U perhaps suffered more than usual today. We were also reminded that we do not live for ourselves, and we must bear each others’ burdens. Like iron, men should sharpen each other.
I am so grateful to have been sharpened through suffering this morning with my friends.
My thanks to @Radar for the invitation.
