When you don’t write your own backblast then the Site Q has to do it and when the Site Q has to do it then he writes whatever he wants.
So instead of writing about the workout (which sucked because the hill sucked) I’m going to tell you about the pre-run. YHC (Your Humble Chastain) got The Floater early for a pre-run and was talking to the ruckers when Smithers pulled in, jumped out of his truck, and took off running towards Broome Street without so much as a wave. I finished my chat and decided I’d try and catch up. I make it to Broome and see Smithers crossing the road at Providence headed towards Dreamchasers whatever the brewery is called now. By the time I get around the corner Smithers is nowhere to be found. I get to the 4 way stop at Howie Mine and he’s taken a right into the dark and winding streets. That’s when I decided I’d sneak up on him. At about 50-60 feet away I synced my footsteps with his so he wouldn’t hear me coming. With less than 10 feet to go he finally noticed something was off and started to turn but it was too late. I was upon him and he screamed like a little girl and then promptly gave me his lunch money.
The rest of the morning was pretty boring in comparison.
