What had happened was:
This morning 8 PAX showed up ready to rack up some mileage and steps. The Q brought a little forgetfulness to the table, so improvisation was the name of the game. Enter the 5 & Dime setup:
• Serpentine the stairs
• At the top: 5 weighted merkins
• At the bottom: 10 weighted squats
• Repeat until you reach the end, then descend the far stairwell
• Knock out a lap on the track
• Return to the top and do it all again
Round 2 brought a moment of inspiration (or maybe poor judgment). As Q I thought: “We never use the visitor side bleachers… let’s add a serpentine there.”
Big mistake. Those stairs are a death trap. Or maybe just a Bon Jovi album… Slippery When Wet.
The PAX pushed through, got stronger, and left a little sweat on the steps (hopefully not blood). Strong work, men.
Sometimes the best workouts come when plans go sideways. Thanks for rolling with it.
