Finished near the fields for a quick game of Ultimate Football. The older Dunkin Crew roughed up the Partin’s and younger Dunkin crew….enough that after a two TD lead I called for a trade. Anniken for Sprinkles. That was the spark we needed screaming back to within 1 TD before the clock was running out. Alas it wasn’t meant to be with a late drop deep in enemy territory allowed for an easy last second TD from the bad guys. 4-2 was the final. My ultra competitive son wasn’t happy with loosing – which was good for him.
Finished off with Popsicles and a surprisingly calm Dunkin when Clay somehow spilt half a popsicle juice all over the cooler.

– Anniken is always smiling. And tries super hard to stay with us. Great effort out of a 5 year old.
– Clay the ever quiet one – yet put up big numbers in Ultimate. May need to change his name to Shoeless Joe.
– Hoops much like Anniken is young and works hard to keep up. Also has a smile but also a touch of mischievous in him…must be Kermit rubbing off on him.
– Kermit’s trash talking game is growing. He had some good zingers out there today. Appears him and Cheddar are developing into quite the antagonist/protagonist relationship. Both of them are competitive, both can trash talk with the best of them, and both are athletic. Much like Jordan & Isiah or a box of twinkies and my diet plans…these two will continue to battle it out for workouts to come.
– Sprinkles – when not scratching her legs from the grass, she was dominant out there. We were a few bad throws to her away from running away with todays game. I had her wide open twice in the end zone but just couldn’t get her a good pass.
– Cheddar – Found out he doesn’t like popsicles today (probably a think a Dad should know about his son, but here we are). Big time hustle out there and likely our only defender once Dad got wore out (which happened fast and often when faced with guarding Dunkin).
– Dunkin – took it easy on me and helped get the little ones involved. He was gracious enough not to run me all over the field today. Impeccable lunge form as always. And the fireman carry of Anniken the last 1/8 of a mile was impressive. Dunkin said it was the coolest 90 degree day they had and I have to agree. Maximum shade along with a good breeze made today bearable.
Until next time – Fuse Box
