A quick warm up mosey of about 1 mile with 5 hand release merkins at each stopping point followed by 50 side-straddle hops with a short session of medium stretching.
On to a trail hill cut through to the playground where PAX made 4 laps of the Nesbit short-cut and trail cut through with another 5 hand release merkins on each lap.
>From there, it was back to the round-about where PAX partnered up to participate in “Pushing the Envelope”. One partner remained at the starting point doing, you guessed it, hand release Merkins while the other sprinted to a traffic cone and advanced the cone further by one parking spot with each trip. Ultimately resulting in graduated wind sprints.
Finally the PAX made it to the soccer fields where YHC placed cones out for “Crawl, Walk, RUN.
First Round – PAX bear crawled to each cone (about 20 to 25 yards out) and upon reaching the cone would do 5 hand release merkins. This would repeat at each cone (3 in total) Second Round – PAX would bear crawl to the first cone, steady walk to the second (about 20 yards) and full sprint to the tree line and back to the starting point (about 100 yards) for a total of three trips).
Back to COT for a minute of cool down and stretching.
U-Haul released his in frustration on the pavement when the Taylor Swift mash up was too much to take. Hatchet was a part-time participant as he was warming up for his 5k but still was killing it. Cliffhanger was moving along effortlessly and was able to mash up a little trail adventure too. Centerfold and Deep Dish much like some others seriously questioned my music choices but crushed the bear crawls and wind sprints on the field. AirTag was about the only fan I had while Dave Bailey aka Popeye and Posse were supportive and tried a new variation of and release Carolina drydocks. You will need to ask them how that turned out. All PAX should have recorded 3 to 4 miles (ish).
Thanks guys for giving me the keys for an hour. I had a blast! If you haven’t already, consider making commitment at least a part of your monthly rotation. Most of you know the endless terrain and creative options you have at Nesbit. It’s a blank canvas that really allows for endless options unlike other sites. Can’t wait to see what Zinfandel cooks up.
