We talked about all kinds of things last night. I went in a but skeptical of what this Fires was all about. I left feeling grateful for people like:

1. Inspector Gadget for stepping up to host in our region and for sharing his inspiration for hosting this event. Lots of people share a lot of the feelings he discussed but he stepped to create a place to make a change. Love it!
2. Mayhem for being a positive light in our region but also willing to be vulnerable.
3. U-Haul for just jumping into F3 Waxhaw head on just two weeks in and he’s going to be inspiring all kinds of men in our region very soon.
4. Snooki – not on Slack and hasn’t posted with us in a long time but he shared how one simple conversation from a trusted friend changed his career’s trajectory in a great way.
5. Two Hand Touch – great to see you again dude! He jumped right on in and shared some great insight on things he’s done to improve tough situations.
6. ChatterBox shared a vulnerability that everyone of us has felt and really got a great discussion going around the entire group on how we are working to improve those situations.
7. Elmer’s shared a current reality that each of us has felt fresh in the moment and allowed us share that feeling together.
8. Black Hat brought up his awareness on items he knows he needs to do something about and ideas were offered to assist in his pursuit of continued momentum forward.

In two hours of open conversation hearing from different men from all walks of life share where they were in that moment will always be the life blood of empowerment. Shared discussions of lows, tough emotions, successes and failures is a reminder that life can be as beautiful as it can also be an MFer. Like circling back for the 6, none of us are alone. If you feel you are, look for ways to adjust your perspective by participating in things to challenge your norm. We have “tools” within an arms reach in this region for you to use, if you take the first step.

U-Haul offered up his love of Jocko Willink and even going as far to say he is a “Willinkty”, a mashup similar to being a Taylor Swifty. I went down a rabbit hole this morning and I find some of these “hype” style versions a little ridiculous. However in the right mind set, this morning this video spoke to me.
