What had happened was:

The cold has subsided and the PAX have sprung forward into a new season of pain just in time for YHC to take the helm at Ignition.
No long speeches but proper Diccs and a lil bit of WTF logo discord followed by a simple plan: run, suffer, repeat. 💪

We kicked things off with a 1-mile mosey lap around campus to test the waters. After the lap we caught up with the Flash boys, who appeared to be doing what they do best… standing around talking. Naturally we took the opportunity to buzz the tower and wake them up a bit before getting down to business.

We circled up for some stretches, Mericans, and plank jacks, then headed down the sidewalk toward the shed to start the first grinder.

– Bear crawl to next light
– Run to next light – 5 Tysons
– Bear crawl again
– Repeato

One thing we learned quickly this morning… you know what doesn’t pair well with bear crawls? Tysons. Buses. 🚌
Buses as far as you could see, each one looking like it might pull out at any second while we were mid–bear crawl across the lights. The PAX out there looking like sitting ducks while the morning commute rolled in. No one died – so there’s that.

Once shoulders and legs were good and taxed, we ran to the top of the hill, then headed back toward the rock pile, dropping 10 squats at every light along the way.

Next up we partnered up.

– Front Raise Push Press
– Flutter Presses
– Squat Thrusters
– Big Bois

Then we ran some more towards the school entrances, stopping at each light for:
– 10 Mericans
– 10 Big Bois

To close things out we hit speed laps with more partner pain.

– Burpees
– V-Ups

At one point YHC remembered the saying: “If you can’t do it, don’t Q it.” I’ll admit we got close to that line today, but then another thought crept in — if you can barely Q it… push through it.

Mission accomplished – 4.25mi 🏴‍☠️
