Folks came to Watchtower today hoping for miles (YHC got a few texts and comments yesterday wondering what distance was to be expected). With that in mind, we delivered the fastest possible DICCs, and started moseing around the parking lot following Centerfold’s car. Once he parked, it was on!
WARMUP: Quarter of a mile to the farthest corner of the bus lot (the outpost from now on) for your usual SSHs (25), Imperial Walkers, Moroccan nightclubs (15 of each), some light stretching via Jimmy Dugans, and a 15-count low slow squats.
THE THANG: Mosey back to the school entrance (the base from now on) for another quarter of a mile, and off we started our Half-Century Club back and forth to the outpost.
– Merkins (25 at the base, 25 at the outpost, for a total of 1/2 mile)
– Big Boys (same count as distance as before… you get the idea)
– Carolina Dry Docks
– Mountain Climbers
– Burpees (just 5 and 5 this time, to ensure we cold make it back to COT on time)
MARY: Sometimes the first to arrive at the outpost/base chose to mary with flutters or American hammers, and sometimes the overachiever in charge chose to circle back for the 6. The rest followed suit obediently.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Not much. YHC wondering if he’ll be able to get his American Passport in time to visit his folks back in Spain. It looks like the fastest possible method at this time is to take a trip to Stamford, CT so he can get it on the spot. A little too close for comfort, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
COT: We were thrilled to welcome Rain Man’s 26-year-old cousin today. He worked hard and displayed an amazing attitude, with a perennial big broad smile while sharing all about his job, wife and life back at Pittsburg during the moseys. Very personable fellow. Welcome, ~~Gallo~~ Hoagie (you Millenials gotta watch “My Cousin Vinnie” to get the references)
