What had happened was:

50 YEARS OLD… AND STILL STUPID ENOUGH TO DO THIS! 😂
The 50th birthday beatdown did NOT disappoint! We celebrated the only way we know how—in the GLOOM, with a little pain, a lot of laughs, and just enough questionable exercises to remind me that I’m officially old.

The workout included Mike Tysons, Carolina Dry Docks, Sumo Squats, Monkey Humpers, and Merkins—because apparently turning 50 doesn’t qualify you for an easier workout. We also decided that every driveway was an appropriate location for Speed Skaters. Because why not? By the time it was all said and done, we managed to rack up just over 4 miles. Not a bad way to start the next 50! 💪🏼

A HUGE shoutout to Gerber, who officially earned the title of Best F3 Boyfriend by providing the incredible sidewalk birthday chalk artwork and decorations. Nothing says “Happy 50th, Rain Man” quite like birthday artwork waiting for you in the darkness at 5 AM. 😂🎨

And to the boys—Chastain, Falcon, Ice9, Glidah, Singlet, Hooch, and Hollywood—thank you for showing up and supporting me throughout the years at F3. We’ve shared more laughs, pain, miles, sweat, questionable decisions, and unforgettable moments in the gloom than I could ever count.

The friendships I’ve made through F3 mean more to me than you guys probably realize. It’s not just about the workouts. It’s the fellowship, the accountability, the ridiculousness, and having a group of guys who are always willing to show up for each other. Some of my favorite memories over the years have happened before the sun even came up, surrounded by guys who became some of my closest friends.

And a very special shoutout to Bottlecap. You were the one who brought me out to F3 for the first time, and you’ve never given up on me—even when I’m sure there were plenty of reasons to! 😂 I wouldn’t have experienced any of this without you, and I’ll always be grateful that you dragged me into the madness.

So here’s to 50 years, another 4+ miles in the books, and hopefully many more years of getting after it together in the gloom.
