IT’S WELL WORTH THE READ. BUT I AM BIASED.

Back when I used to party, and we’d have an epic rager on a Saturday, we’d wake up and be sad it was over. But you know what we’d do? We’d rest up, crush some Bojangles, and then cap the weekend off by dialing up a big league Sunday afternoon rager. Sure, we felt like death on Monday. But who cares. It was awesome. And we had fun. (Not really, more on that at the end). Well, that’s what ruckus was like today.

Saturday was an awesome day for F3 in the ‘Haw. We had a co-birthday Q at Titan, we saw 2 friends we haven’t seen in a while, we had a legendary beatdown by Goodfella at commitment, we had a 50 pound dumbbell curling contest that was so awesome, YouTube sent a crew out to Southbrook Church to film it, we posted with the boys at Charlotte Rescue Mission, the runners were on a field trip out west, and we learned that Deadwood has a brother named sleeper hold, who’s actually a great dude. Maybe that shocks you less than it does me. But when I heard that Deadwood was bringing his brother, and then heard his brother’s voice on an audio only promo video, I was sure that Deadwood was signing him out of the correctional facility in Dallas, NC and bringing him to waxhaw. But hey, I was wrong, and it all worked out.

So, on to ruckus. Much love to Chastain and deadwood for cashing in their H.C. on a trip to ruckus AND open door to repay me for my Titan attendance. Chastain had been up for 24 hours straight editing a MASTER video for the ages, and he still had some pep in his step. Although Deadwood didn’t show up for the pre ruck that he scheduled, AND didn’t bring the sandbag, it all worked out. As a man that has slept through one or two pre runs, I can’t throw a stone at my brother.
Then, Lou shows up to ruckus, WHAT?!?!?! AND he brings his boy Wax. Wax is cool, we have a kindred spirit since we are both from up north. And as I’ve said before, Lou ain’t that bad in person…..sometimes.
Pyro showed up but didn’t has his scarf or his ASS-cot on so that was a bummer. But he did have his camera remote and tripod on hand for all photo needs.
Uhaul was laying the next square on his 500 consecutive days of posting Journey. So I didn’t bother him during his pre ruck. That level of badassery surpasses the level that I know.
Of course Shriver was there. What can he not do? That a-hole runs laps around me at Wxw express, out rucks me on Sundays, and I heard he was stronger than me too and I don’t want to confirm that fact so I leave him alone.
Catfish was in the house with his bionic arm contraption. He and I usually compare notes on how we can get better at treating our wives in a way that would result in more frequent marital intimacy. But after 6 weeks, it appears to be the blind leading the blind.
I usually walk with Posse to listen and discuss deep topics. But today, Pyro buddied up with Posse early on and hogged him. Plus, Posse had that bank robbers mask on that he wears so you couldn’t understand him anyway.
It was good to see Air tag again. After posting 8 out of the first 7 days he was with us, he took a small break. But we picked back up where we left off when he pulled up bemoaning the fact that his full-size Chevy was a four cylinder. Agreed Air tag. And I wouldn’t tell anyone else that if I was you.
Cartel is staying consistent and putting in some serious work according to Strava (Strava is an app you can use to monitor you and other people’s workouts. Just fyi :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing: ). Cartel has heard most of my stories now and he still acts like he likes me. So he’s either a real good guy or a professional BSer. That’s TBD.
I’ve now experienced the calming presence and wide stride of Mcgruff for 3 out of the last 4 weekends. And it was good to have a UF guy around to reel Lou in as he re-lived the past glory days of FSU in the 90s.

It was a great day and an epic weekend. I joked about partying earlier, but let me say this. I had as much fun this weekend as I have in a long time. And you know what, I didn’t have to drink any booze or take any pills to do so. And I won’t feel like death tomorrow (even though my biceps are paralyzed from those 50s). I’ll feel great. That’s pretty cool.

WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO???? HERE ARE 3 REASONS JUST FROM THIS WEEKEND:
-A 68 year old man at Charlotte rescue mission told us after the workout, that what we just did was the first time he’d excercised in as long as he could remember, and he couldn’t wait to come back next week, because this was a “new and better” kind of high.
-A brother shared at Open door today, and we got to lift him up in prayer and encourage him.
-We saw 2 friends at Titan Saturday that we hadn’t seen in a while, and it reminded us of how good the brotherhood we have is.

Listen, sometimes you need the group. Sometimes the group needs you. I’ve been on both sides of that. But I will tell you one thing. You boys from F3 down here in the ‘Haw (and team Marvin) ain’t that bad. And I hope you getting tired of ya boy Hatchet. Because I ain’t going anywhere. For a while. New day tomorrow. New week tomorrow. Let’s lock in and get after it. Because that’s what we do.

Hatchet out.
