What had happened was:

The biggest bowl game of the year—The Gasparilla Bowl—did not disappoint.

Pregame coverage started with the essentials: SSHs and light stretching, just enough to loosen the hips and convince the Pax this might be a gentleman’s game. Fourteen showed up ready for primetime. The wind was howling during warmups, but like any good bowl game, conditions settled right before kickoff—optimal weather, loud stadium vibes, and best of all, every Pax received a special coupon for free entry. Those coupons would become very important. Very quickly.

Special shoutout to our site captains, Smithers and Deflated, who had Impromptu dialed in and ready for kickoff—team ready, field prepped, and zero excuses. Textbook home-field advantage.

Opening kickoff was a mosey down to the stadium, coupons firmly in hand. Victory Lane doubled as a conditioning gauntlet, with a stop at every light pole for 5 Blockees. Somewhere around pole 4 or 5, YHC went full Lattimer from The Program and absolutely smashed my block to smithereens. IYKYK. No flag on the play. Luckily, Pax depth was strong—multiple guys volunteered to rotate coupons so the offense could keep moving forward. Next man up mentality.

Once we arrived at the stadium, it was right to work.
Game action included:
– Block push 25 yards
– Run 75 yards out and back
– Redrum Bunny 25 yards
– Followed by:
– Lateral shuffles left 25 yards
– Lateral shuffles right 25 yards
Then coupon work on repeato:
– Curls
– Triceps
– RDLs
– Simbas
Coupons were held tight the entire game—no turnovers allowed.

With legs smoked and arms feeling the fourth quarter, we grabbed our coupons and raced back up Victory Lane to COT, stopping again at each light pole for 5 thrusters. Because bowl games always end harder than they start.

We closed it out with 45 seconds of “Have a Nice Day”, set perfectly to The Sound of Silence. Equal parts poetic and cruel—the ideal ending to a grinder.

Bowl Game MVP honors went to Elmer’s who showed up strong, stayed consistent, held my speaker, and delivered some clutch towel work 🏆

Final score:
Gasparilla Bowl – undefeated.
Pax – gassed, smiling, and already asking what’s next…Titan?

Go PAckX. Leave it all on the field. 🟥⬜
