The Thang:
No need to reinvent the wheel. There’s a fire pit off Carriage Road that holds the legendary bricks — the kind that haunt PAX nightmares. Even though Ice 9 is out in Greece living the good life, I honored his legacy and selected the nicest, full-sized bricks I could find.
Each PAX grabbed two bricks and we were off. Route:
– Library Lot → Lawson Drive → Cemetery Trail → Champion Forest
Along the way:
– ~100 Simbas with bricks
– ~100 Heels to Heaven
– Lots of low, slow brick squats
Then came the main course:
:boom: The Burpee Mile™ – Uphill. With Bricks.
– 5 Brick Burpees at every light pole from the bottom of Champion Forest to the top
– 1 Mile
– 100 Burpees
– 100% Terrible
We wrapped it up with a long mosey back toward the stadium and to COT — sprinkling in a few more Simbas and Heels to Heaven for good measure.
Moleskine:
It’s always an honor to lead. F3 means a lot of things to a lot of people, but for me it’s a lifeline. It keeps me grounded, connected, and reminds me of the strength in shared struggle. To start my birthday alongside my son and some of my best friends — that’s a gift I don’t take for granted.
Thanks for showing up. Thanks for pushing. Thanks for the fellowship.
Until next time,
Gerber
