What had happened was:
A while back, Bottlecap took a few of us on a prerun to explore a potential new hill for The Floater. It was dark and the sidewalk was narrow and it wasn’t exactly close by. We didn’t have too much time to explore but it was steep. It was long. It had rocks and light poles and everything you could want in a hill. It had potential. Read on to uncork the tale of the pax of the Floater and their adventure to unknown lands.

The weeks and months flew by as I waited and waited for Bottlecap to lead us back to that untamed hill during The Thang, but alas, it was not to be. I began to doubt the hill even existed. Was it something I had imagined? Did the nightmare hill exist only as that? A dream?

With Easy Button down and out I answered the call for a substi-Q and with a promise not to return to a certain other hill, I knew what had to be done. With 13 pax in tow we wound our way through the twisting streets, cracked sidewalks, and way too much traffic for 5:30 in the morning. We briefly paused at a side street where Mad Dog’s constant call for headlamps may have saved us as a driver took a circuitous route to avoid turning us into paxcakes.

Back on our feet we ended our jaunt at the top of “the hill”. It was not a strange fever-dream after all. The great white whale was not a myth and we stood atop it, ready to explore its bounty.

Down we dove to the bottom of the monolith until we arrived at our base camp. From there we crested the summit SEVEN times and each time returned to the bottom.

Tired and ragged we rallied as teams of two to yet again beat ourselves against the rocky cliffs. Whilst one member of the duo summited the peak the other toiled on the heavy rocks until their return and we repeated this often until three band of adventurers was near mutinous.

It was upon this turn of events that your humble correspondent deemed it was time to return from the land whence we came, back down the harrowing sidewalks, and finally to rest at the circle of trust.
