It was rainy.
It was warm.
It was moist in ways only a Diesel gloom can understand.
But like any legendary boy band, the PAX showed up ready to perform. When the skies opened up, we didn’t ask to “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)” — we leaned in and embraced the drizzle like it was stage fog at a sold-out arena show.
The Setlist
The Warmup:
– Motivators x5 Led by Mayhem – because every great group needs a hype man
– Low/Slow Squats x10 – synchronized like an awards show opener
– Merkins x5 and calf stretches – smooth, controlled, dramatic
– Daisy Pickers – stretching like we were reaching for that final high note
The Thang:
We then departed the tour bus, partnered up and did 12 rounds of Farmer and Rifle carries
2x Farmer – Merkins and Big Boys
3x Rifle – Curls and Tri’s
2x Farmer – Squats and Big Boys
3x Rifle – Coupon pull over and Flutters
2x Farmer – Plank
We jumped back on the bus and headed back to COT for a chest workout …
Finished up with some more core work, legs and finally curls for the girls.
The highlight of the morning?
We had 1 FNG roll onto the tour bus — my 2.0. After putting in the work and surviving his debut performance in the rain, he earned his stage name:
:wood: MDF :wood:
No lip syncing. No auto-tune. Just grit.
The PAX pushed, carried, squatted, and merkin’d like we were chasing platinum status. Nobody folded. Nobody hid backstage. Just a group of grown men harmonizing through the suck.
Diesel doesn’t cancel shows.
We just turn up the volume.
