Hatchet is always looking for a larger audience to talk at so he was more than willing to shut down commitment and converge at titan and Bottlecap was more than willing to accommodate.
YHC offered to do the birthday burpees solo if we had more than 21 pax participate in the workout, so with 25 (plus 3 Ruckers) I made a quick modification of the weinke
I left my truck parked at the gate with over 800 lbs of gear in the bed. The pax got a quick glimpse of it as we moseyed past to the field but it wasn’t yet time.
On the field we did four corners (instead of a starfish with burpees in the middle) with merkins, HR merkins, wide arm merkins, and diamond merkins in each corner. 5 reps each for the first round. 10 reps the second round. 15 for the third!
Next, many pax were introduced to the slosh tube. With 52 lbs of water in a 10 foot tube, we got to watch what each pax looks like after one too many drinks
The legs were feeling a little left out so we did some suicides and speed skaters from the 10 yard line all the way out to the 50.
We finished with a little misery. Lined up on the goal line: 10 kettlebell presses. Lunge walk with your bell 10 yards. Bear crawl back. 5 weighted squats. Carry 10 yards. Drop your weight and sprint to the goal line and back. Repeato. Always run to the goal line so the distance increases.
With 5 minutes remaining we gathered gear and returned to COT where I took us out in prayer.
Last, but not least, YHC completed 41 birthday burpees, as promised. Dunkin also did 41 in solidarity and several other pax tossed in a few pity burpees.
