What had happened was:
B.E.A.S.T. – Bangers Expected, Average Soundtrack Today

YHC had the privilege of leading 21 PAX through another muggy morning at the B.E.A.S.T.
Things got off to a slightly delayed start thanks to a few late arrivals. Easy Button Being a consummate gentleman recommended we “pick em up” so we circled back to the acapella stylings of Bottlecap and a rendition of Mockingbird that would make Lloyd Christmas proud.

Little did we know, The Ruckoning had begun…

IYKYK pax we’re rucking everywhere.
They were rucking in the parking lot. They were rucking between the trailers, under the bleachers.in the picnic shelter. It was a real ruck fest.

More dudes rucking at an elementary school than I’ve seen in quite some time.
But who am I to judge? I’ve rucked in all sorts of places myself.

Once we finally escaped the sea of backpacks, the bootcamp krewe settled into a proper warm-up, including everyone’s favorite back-to-back sessions of upward dogs and bellowing moans before tackling tha thang:

Station 1: Pull-ups, hanging knee raises, walking lunges, and crab walks.

Station 2: Prisoner squats, box cutters, plank walk-outs to merkins, and lap after lap around the lot.
The sandbag laps were the cream on top of the weinke, completely unnecessary but pretty much inevitable.

As for the music… well, the acronym kind of spoiled the review. Bangers were expected. Average soundtrack was delivered. That’s on me. I promise to return to B.E.A.S.T. with my A game next time.

Some of you may have noticed the 100-pound Tombstone sitting on the sidelines. We made the wise decision to leave it alone… this time. But remember: death comes for everyone. Expect her to make an appearance in an upcoming Weinke. 😉
